How to export 3D data points to text in MassLynx - WKB28026

OBJECTIVE or GOAL

To extract or access a list of all data points, intensity vs wavelength vs retention time for a whole run in MassLynx

ENVIRONMENT

• MassLynx v4.1 with PDA

PROCEDURE

1. Launch DataBridge (from All Programs > MassLynx) and under Options, select MassLynx as the Source and ASCII as the Target.
2. In the Source box, click Select and select the MassLynx .raw data file that includes the PDA 3D scan data.
3. In the Target box, click Directory and select the path where to save the converted data file, and provide a filename.
4. Click Convert.  The new .txt file will be saved in the path specified.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

The .txt file generated is separated by function.  So if the PDA channel is FUNCTION 2 in your acquisition method, then the PDA data points are under FUNCTION 2 in the .txt file (All functions in the method that were acquired are exported in the .txt file).
