How to configure an HDX Manager in MassLynx - WKB27632

OBJECTIVE or GOAL

Configure the HDX Manager in MassLynx.

ENVIRONMENT

• MassLynx
• HDX Manager

PROCEDURE

1. Open the inlet method editor.
2. Select the Tools drop-down menu > Instrument configuration > Configure.
3. Select Next, and then select Waters Pump Control for the pump.
4. For the Autosampler, select ACQUITY HDX Manager, and then select Next.
5. For Detector, select the HDX Manager and click the → to bring it to the configured detectors. Select Next.
6. On the Configure Communications page, select Scan for Instruments; once they popullate, select OK > Next.

7. Select the Events and Triggering button.
8. Select Events In 1, and then click Next.
9. Select Trigger by Contact Closure for both the pump and the detector, and then click Next.
10. Select Finish, ignoring any error messages.
11. Open the console.
12. From the main page (with all of the instruments) select Configure > Configure Instrument Modules.
13. Select the ASM and label each pump. Verifu that the correct serial numbers are shown. Select OK.

14. Wait for the console to reset, and then exit the console, the inlet editor, and MassLynx.
15. Reboot the computer or run StopAcquityProcess.
