MassLynx shutdown method does not stop the ISM - WKB273967

SYMPTOMS

• Customer manually controls the ISM from the Console
• The QSM shuts down, but the ISM does not

ENVIRONMENT

• MassLynx
• ACQUITY UPLC Isocratic Solvent Manager

CAUSE

The ISM is not set up properly in the System Configuration and must be controlled by the Waters Pump Control in order to be part of the shutdown method.

FIX or WORKAROUND

1. Open the Inlet Editor.
2. Select Tools > Instrument Configuration.
3. Select "Configure".
4. On the Select Pump screen, ensure that the pump is set to "Waters Pump Control".
5. Continue through the setup as normal until complete.
6. In the Inlet Editor, select Inlet.
7. Click the "Config" button next to OK.
8. Ensure that the main pump and the ISM are set up in the configuration as Pump 1 and Pump 2.
