PROCEDURE
- When developing an MS method, the IntelliStart software enables you to develop LC-MS methods automatically. Prior to developing IntelliStart methods, instrument resolution and calibration should be run for the type of analysis being performed (e.g., Unit Resolution, Low Mass Resolution).
- Find IntelliStart method development example information for each instrument in the Customer Familiarization Guide here.
- IntelliStart automatically determines MRM transition(s) for each compound and will optimize the MSMS parameters to create an MS method file.
- Up to four compounds can be run at a time. The molecular mass values specified must be the neutral monoisotopic masses, not [M+H]+m/z values. Moreover, additional compounds can be added to an existing MRM method by selecting the "Append to existing methods" check box.
Note: The procedure above will also work to develop SIR methods by checking the Develop SIR method feature and unchecking Develop MRM method. All other steps are the same.
