Can the OpenLynx report file name automatically be set to the sample file name and not the sample list file name when processing MassLynx data from the sample list? - WKB235538

Article number: 235538

ENVIRONMENT

  • MassLynx
  • OpenLynx

ANSWER

No, the software is designed to automatically name the OpenLynx report (.rpt) file with the same file name as the sample list (.spl).

The only way to have the OpenLynx report file (.rpt) name be the sample file name would be to save the sample list (.spl) with the same file name as the sample.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

When using OA Login to submit samples for analysis and processing with OpenLynx, the OpenLynx report file (.rpt) has the same file name as the batch file. Although generally now known by OA Login clients, the batch ID is the Queue name just as the sample list file name is the Queue name when running and processing samples from the MassLynx sample list. The difference is that in OA Login you do have options for naming the batches.
