Error: "There is no email program associated to perform the requested action" when opening OAManager with Thunderbird configured - WKB225470

SYMPTOMS

• A  Mozilla Thunderbird email account is configured on the PC
• Opening OAManager gives the following message:
  "There is no email program associated to perform the requested action. 
   Please install an email program."
• The email account is correctly configured and set as the default email program
• Other systems with the same email program do not show the error
• Emails still send correctly

ENVIRONMENT

• MassLynx
• OALogin
• OAManager
• Mozilla Thunderbird email

CAUSE

A recent update to Thunderbird is causing issues with the email being recognised

FIX or WORKAROUND

1. Downgrade to an earlier version of Thunderbird or use a different email system
2. Or click away the error message and continue. Emails still sent.
