OALogin is skipping samples / grouping samples by method instead of sample order - WKB225174

SYMPTOMS

• Samples logging in for analysis by OALogin are being run in a different order than when submitted
• Some samples are being skipped in preference for samples submitted later, as though they are jumping the queue
• Samples are being sorted by the inlet method they are using (User does not want this to happen)

ENVIRONMENT

• OALogin
• MassLynx
• SCN 987

CAUSE

User loaded a different version of OALogin to stop the batch sorting. But the sorting is coded into the base MassLynx, as well as OALogin.

FIX or WORKAROUND

Both MassLynx and OALogin must also be reinstalled with an earlier version.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

SCN 987 introduced a feature to set the order in which the submitted batches are run, found in the OALogin in the Admin > Batch Options.... menu. 

There are three options: Sample, Method, and Scheduler. 
Sample will run the batches in the order they are submitted.
Method will run the batches grouped by the method selected.
Scheduler allows you to set the time period where you run in Method or in Sample depending on the time of day.
