Article number: 224373

OBJECTIVE or GOAL

Save an OpenLynx report as an Excel file.

ENVIRONMENT

  • MassLynx
  • OpenLynx

PROCEDURE

  1. You cannot save the report directly as an Excel file, but you can configure the system so the file, once saved, opens automatically in Excel.
  2. The OpenLynx report can be saved as one of the following:
Tab delimited (.txt), Comma separated variable file (.csv), or XML file (.xml).
  3. Set the operating system to open the chosen file type in Excel.

  4. Search on the PC for "Default App" and click "choose a default app for each type of file".

  5. Select .csv and choose Microsoft Excel.
