Between runs on an ACQUITY H-Class with MassLynx, the flow rate changes from what is in the method - WKB21855

SYMPTOMS

• Flow rate in the method is x mL/min and stays that way for the run, then switches to y mL/min for N minutes until it starts the next run, at which point it goes back to x mL/min for the duration of the run

ENVIRONMENT

• ACQUITY H-Class
• ACQUITY I-Class
• ACQUITY
• MassLynx

CAUSE

There is an inlet method in the sample list Pre run or Post run column.

FIX or WORKAROUND

1. In the MassLynx sample list, right-click on a cell in the sample list and select customize display.
2. Select Inlet Prerun (INLET_PRERUN) and Inlet Postrun (INLET_POSTRUN), and then select OK.

3. Determine if an inlet method is in either the Prerun or the Postrun column.
4. Delete the method from the Prerun or Postrun column.
