"LC Pump Off" does not work in MassLynx shutdown method on QDa Arc system - WKB21096

SYMPTOMS

• When you select "LC Pump Off" in the MassLynx shutdown editor, the ACQUITY Arc (QSM-R) fails to switch off and keeps pumping

ENVIRONMENT

• ACQUITY QDa Mass Detector
• ACQUITY Arc
• MassLynx

CAUSE

Possible software bug in older software: MassLynx 4.1 SCN 925 + SCN 954 and ICS 1.65
If this issue is seen in recently released software please escalate a case and mention this article.

FIX or WORKAROUND

Workaround: Add the "Load LC Method" task to the shutdown method and specify an inlet file with a zero flow rate.
