1. Have more intelligent MS method generation - If you know the retention time of your peaks collect data around those time points rather than the whole run.
2. Collect data in centroid mode - this would have the greatest impact.
3. Set up a solvent delay so the wasted time at the start of the run is not collected.
4. Ensure the signal threshold has been set correctly.
5. Increase the noise threshold.
6. Increase the scan time, dwell time, interscan delay etc.
