Can MassLynx track system usage? - WKB20146

ENVIRONMENT

  • MassLynx
  • OAToolkit

ANSWER

Yes. You can enable the database logging feature to create a database file containing the details of all samples acquired. MassLynx records an entry in the database file for each sample acquired. The default database file is C:\MassLynx\samples.mdb.

To enable the database logging feature in MassLynx:

  1. Click Tools from the left-hand vertical listing on the sample list page.
  2. Click Options.
  3. Select Log Samples in the Database Logging area on the system tab.
  4. Click Database to confirm the correct location and file name.
Tip: Use the MS serial number or the system name as the database file name.
  5. Open the database file (*.mdb) in Microsoft Access.

Alternatively use OAToolkit's Remote Status Monitoring software to monitor the status of multiple instruments and their batch queues from a single computer. information is in MassLynx 4.2 Getting Started Guide
