Cannot prime the ACQUITY UPLC Binary Solvent Manager because the option is dimmed in the Control menu in the ACQUITY Console - WKB200065

SYMPTOMS

• Cannot prime ACQUITY UPLC BSM
• Prime option in the Control menu in the ACQUITY Console is dimmed (unavailable)
• Cannot reset ACQUITY UPLC BMS because this option is also dimmed
• System status in MassLynx and ACQUITY Console says "ready"
• Inlet status in the MassLynx Inlet Editor shows green LED for READY and OK

ENVIRONMENT

• MassLynx
• ACQUITY UPLC Binary Solvent Manager
• ACQUITY Console

CAUSE

ACQUITY UPLC Instrument Control Software is not running properly.

FIX or WORKAROUND

1. Close MassLynx and the ACQUITY Console.
2. Run StopAcquityProcesses.cmd from the desktop icon or from C:\Program file (x86)\Waters Instruments\bin.
3. Restart MassLynx.
4. Open the ACQUITY Console.
