Link an MS method file to a TargetLynx method - WKB199880

OBJECTIVE or GOAL

Automatically update the function numbers in the TargetLynx method according to the function numbers in the MS method.

ENVIRONMENT

• TargetLynx XS, SCN1001 or later

PROCEDURE

1. On the TargetLynx Method Editor window, select the Link MS Method File check box and select the MS method file you want to link using the Browse button.

2. When you save the TargetLynx method, you will be asked if you want to update the function number. Select Yes/No to save the method.
   If you select Yes, the function number in the TargetLynx method is automatically updated to the function number in the selected MS method.
   If you select No, the MS method information will not be reflected.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

When updating the function number from the MS method, the compound is recognized based on the MRM transition.
If there are multiple transitions (such as isomers) matched in the TargetLynx method and MS method, assign the function numbers manually.
