MassLynx asks for the CD when trying to open - WKB193892

SYMPTOMS

• When opening the MassLynx shortcut, a window appears asking for the MassLynx CD
• If the DVD is placed in the drive, an error message says that the path cannot be found

ENVIRONMENT

• MassLynx

CAUSE

The mlynx4.exe shortcut file has been edited. This can occur with Windows updates and/or antivirus updates.

FIX or WORKAROUND

1. Find the shortcut to MassLynx on your desktop.
2. Right-click and select Properties.
3. On the Shortcut tab, ensure that the Target points to the mlynx4.exe file.
