2695 does not communicate to the inlet method - WKB1846

SYMPTOMS

Download button (stack of papers) is unavailable
The pump on icon does not work—it is active, but when selected, the pump does not turn on
Remote icon is active
If taken out of remote, the front panel on the 2695 works correctly; flow will turn on
Hand icon is active—when you click on it, it says there is a method running, do you want to stop it?
If hand icon is stopped, still no communication
Ready and OK icons in the inlet method are green
No error messages appear
New inlet method does not solve the issue
New project does not solve the issue
The inlet method naming scheme is in the correct alphanumeric format
Reconfiguring inlet to Shimadzu and back to Alliance does not resolve the issue

MassLynx software is corrupt (most likely cause), or the PDA must be reset.

Close MassLynx.
Run repair from add/remove programs under MassLynx (not tested/validated, so it isn't recommended, but it did work for this instance).
Open MassLynx and reset PDA communication inside of the inlet method.
