Getting mass not found in the OpenLynx report - WKB17442

SYMPTOMS

OpenLynx RPT file shows that there is no mass found, yet in the processed spectrum, it shows that the desired mass is there.

ENVIRONMENT

• MassLynx 4.1 SCN 719
• Xevo QTof

CAUSE

Data fails the Diversity test.

FIX or WORKAROUND

1. Verify the mass accuracy of the desired mass (calculate the ppm or the mDa using the value seen in the processed spectrum results section).
2. Open the OpenLynx processing method (or *.olp file).
3. Go to the Spectrum Test tab.
4. Adjust the Accurate Mass Error Reporting section; change the Primary Threshold value in ppm or mDa so that the desired processed mass is in range.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

Although adjusting thresholds will allow the mass to be found, we suggest improving the mass accuracy instead (set Veff, recalibrate, do lockspray setup, and so on).
