How to set up auto addition in MassLynx - WKB13017

OBJECTIVE or GOAL

To co-inject an aliquot from one vial with a sample from another vial using the MassLynx with any Sample Manager Flow Through Needle (FTN).

ENVIRONMENT

• MassLynx 4.1
• ACQUITY Sample Manager-FTN

PROCEDURE

In the MassLynx sample list:

1. Specify the first sample draw as usual using the Bottle and Inject Volume columns.
2. Add the column Auto Additions to the sample list. To add the column:
   • Right-click in the sample list
     1. Select Customize Display.
     2. Scroll to Auto Additions.
     3. Select.
     4. Click OK.
3. Specify the additional sample draws in the Auto Addition column using the syntax:
   • vial position, volume; vial position, volume
     • Note: It is possible to repeat this three times for a maximum of four sample draws in one injection.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

This feature is available for the Sample Manager Flow Through Needle (SM-FTN), but not compatible with fixed loop such as Sample Manager SM-FL.
