SYMPTOMS

• Attempt to open an existing Method with MS Method Editor in MassLynx
• Warning appears: "This method does not have optimal sorting applied. To enable optimal sorting, select Enable Sorting from Options menu."

ENVIRONMENT

• MassLynx 4.2 SCN1017

CAUSE

Software specification change in MassLynx 4.2 SCN1017

FIX or WORKAROUND

Select MS Method Editor > Options > Enable Sorting, and press OK to overwrite and save.

OR

Create a new MS Method.
