'General Failure' error message on M-Class BSM - WKB124916

  • Error showing in console for uBSM - General Failure

ENVIRONMENT

  • ACQUITY UPLC M-Class BSM

CAUSE

Unknown

FIX or WORKAROUND

  1. Close Console and MassLynx software then run StopAcquityProcesses (C:/Program Files(x86)/Waters Instruments/bin)
  2. Open Waters DHCP Server Configuration (C:/Program Files(x86)/Waters Instruments)
  3. Remove the component with the error from the DHCP configuration
  4. Power cycle the component in question and ensure IP & MAC addresses, Name and Type all repopulate in the DHCP Configuration window
  5. Restart MassLynx and Acquity Console and confirm samples can be run successfully with no errors.
