A MassLynx PC reboots randomly, even during an acquisition - WKB12427

SYMPTOMS

• The acquisition PC or host PC reboots on its own accord

ENVIRONMENT

• MassLynx host PC

CAUSE

Automatic updates (Windows) are turned on.

FIX or WORKAROUND

1. Set the Windows Updates to occur when MassLynx is not acquiring:
2. Go to the Windows Control Panel.
3. Select System and Security > Windows Updates
4. On the left side, select Change Settings.
5. Under Important Updates, clear the "Install updates automatically (recommended)" selection.
6. Click OK at the bottom of the window.
