PDA or other chromatograms do not display automatically from the MassLynx sample list using the "Chromatograms to Display" function - WKB119364

SYMPTOMS

• When chromatogram is opened from the sample list, only the MS TIC function is displayed; the PDA chromatogram or other specified traces are not displayed
• Previously worked fine
• The parameters in Tools > Options > "Chromatograms to Display" are correctly filled in for the PDA (DAD TIC), mass chromatogram, and others
• The specified chromatograms open correctly on a different MassLynx PC with the same software

ENVIRONMENT

• MassLynx

CAUSE

Unknown - possible corruption in the software

FIX or WORKAROUND

Reinstall MassLynx.

As a workaround, manually add the required traces to the chromatogram window or use ChroTool.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

Note: Swapping out the MassLynx.ini file does not fix the issue.

A similar issue has been reported by a different customer with the display of the MS TIC.  

They solved the problem by rebooting the workstation a few times. 
 

Another customer reported that when displaying a data file, the UV trace was always displayed instead of the TIC. It previously worked fine. 
Solved by re-installing MassLynx.
