SYMPTOMS

• "No inlet methods for current configuration" message appears when double-clicking the inlet file box in sample list
• In the Inlet Method Editor, only the Status button shows—there's no button for pump, autosampler, or detectors

ENVIRONMENT

• MassLynx

CAUSE

Inlet was unconfigured during maintenance.

FIX or WORKAROUND

1. In the inlet method editor, click Tools > Instrument Configuration.
2. Click the Configure button.
3. Complete the configuration wizard.
4. Click Finish to go back to the inlet method editor.
5. Confirm that the expected buttons are visible.
6. Ensure that the inlet file can be entered correctly in the sample list.
