Is it possible to sum more than five MRM traces into a single response in QuanLynx? - WKB11155

Article number: 11155

ENVIRONMENT

  • MassLynx 4.1
  • QuanLynx 4.1

ANSWER

Yes. It is possible in QuanLynx to sum up to 10 channels (SIR or MRM) into a single response. This involves using the Quantification Trace and the Secondary Ion Trace.

In each, the Quantification Trace and the Secondary Ion Trace, enter the channels using one of the following syntax:

For SIR, use M1+M2+M3+M4+M5, where M is the m/z for the ion of interest.

For MRM, use P1>D1+P1>D2+P3>D3+P4>D4+P5>D5,  where P is the parent ion m/z and D is the corresponding daughter ion m/z.

Alternate syntax: Ch1+Ch2+Ch3+Ch4+Ch5, where Ch# is the channel number for the specific SIR or MRM trace from the MS Method.

In the Secondary Ion Properties page of the QuanLynx method, select YES for both "Include Primary Trace in Response?" and "Use trace in Response Calculation?"

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

This same strategy can be applied in TargetLynx and can include up to 25 traces in a single response.
