How to configure the inlet in MassLynx without the PDA - WKB10185

OBJECTIVE or GOAL

Acquire in MassLynx without the PDA.

ENVIRONMENT

• MassLynx 4.1, 4.2
• PDA
• LC-MS

PROCEDURE

1. Go to the inlet method editor.
2. Select Tools > Instrument configuration.
3. Select Configure and Next.
4. Select Next to keep the pump configuration.
5. Select Next to keep the autosampler configuration.
6. Select the PDA from the Configured Detectors.

7. Select the left arrow to remove the PDA and select Next.
8. Select Next, Next. and Finish to complete the setup. 
9. Let the system initialize.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

This procedure does not remove the PDA from the stack in the console. To do so, power-off the PDA, and then close and reopen the console. 

Re-boot the PC and LC to reset the communication.
