PROCEDURE

The Result Audit Viewer is a tool within Review, which brings together audit trail information for a Result Set into one convenient window. This includes information from the Project Audit Trail, Method Audit Trails, Sample Audit Trails, and Sample Set Audit Trail. Additionally, the user can compare superseded results and compare multiple versions of a method in this window.

STEP 1
Bring a Result Set into Review. In this example note that Aspartame in Soft Drink Sample D, injection 2 has been manually integrated (figure 1).

STEP 2
Click the Result Audit Viewer tool which can be found in the upper toolbar, towards the right (figure 2).

STEP 3
The Result Audit Viewer window opens. There are a variety of tables shown, the Results table which displays the Results in the Result Set, and a Result History table which displays the Result history for a selected Result from that set. The information displayed defaults to three months before the current date. If you want to see the complete history of the Result Set, you can set the “After This Date” field to the date the Sample Set was acquired and then click Update (figure 3).

STEP 4
Scrolling to the right in the Result History Table, the Action and the Source of the Action are displayed (figure 4).

STEP 5
Highlighting the manually saved Result in the Results table, we see there is a Superseded Result (figure 5).

STEP 6
Selecting the Aspartame peak from the Peak List, the current result and the original (superseded) result are displayed in the Results Differences table. The current manually saved Result has a lower peak area than the original result and therefore, a lower calculated Amount (Figure 6).

STEP 7
There are multiple versions of the Sample Set Method. If we select two, the Method Differences table automatically displays the differences between the two versions. Clicking the “Show all method values or differences” tool simplifies the table by displaying only the differences between the two selected versions (figure 7).
