How to View the Same Channel throughout a Sample Set - Tip236
OBJECTIVE or GOAL
It is quite common to collect multiple channels of data per injection, such as multiple detector outputs, pressure trace, temperature trace, %B and so forth. Often you may want to look at one specific channel for every injection in the Sample Set. So, how do you look at that channel without having to click thru all the other channels?
Here's how:

PROCEDURE
STEP 1
In this example, there are eight channels of data collected per injection. The goal is to look at the 270nm chromatogram for every injection (figure 1).
STEP 2
Create a ‘Method Set’ with the channel of interest and an appropriate Processing Method (figure 2).
STEP 3
In the Review window, select ‘Method Set Options’ from the ‘Options’ menu. Choose the second selection to have a named Method Set applied and select the Method Set created in Step 2 from the list. Select ‘Automatically Apply Method Set’, Click OK and exit from Review (figure 3).
STEP 4
Take the Sample Set of interest into Review and you see the Method Set is automatically applied to the first injection and the channel of interest is displayed (figure 4).
STEP 5
Highlight the first injection in the tree (figure 5).
STEP 6
Use the down arrow key on the keyboard to navigate through the remaining injections in the Sample Set. Empower will automatically apply the Method Set to every injection and the channel of interest will be displayed for every injection (figure 6).
