Cannot background process or print in Empower on one client PC - WKB98572

SYMPTOMS

• Cannot background process or print in Empower in one project (in project folder, right-click on sample set and choose process or print)
• Can print using preview publisher
• Can manually process
• Issue occurs only on one Empower client PC; processing and printing on another client works as expected

ENVIRONMENT

• Empower 3 Feature Release 4
• Enterprise

CAUSE

Corrupted Windows system account

FIX or WORKAROUND

Copy preferences from a good user and project to the affected users and project and reboot the client PC.
