Error: AgGC:Invalid Injection Volume - WKB96973

SYMPTOMS

• Error "AgGC:Invalid Injection Volume" appears and sample set is interrupted
• Issue occurs between two subsequent injections

ENVIRONMENT

• Agilent GC 6890
• Agilent HS G1888
• ICF 3.2
• Empower 3
• Multiple injections are present in the same row of sample set
• Injecting in ALS mode, HS is configured but not used

CAUSE

Presence of multiple injections in the same row appears to be the cause of the conflict. Splitting the injections in different rows is not causing the issue and the error "AgGC:Invalid Injection Volume", which usually appears when injecting using HS, disappears.

FIX or WORKAROUND

Split injections on different rows, even if using ALS.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

Multiple injections on the same row cause acquisition failures when using HS in high-throughput mode (refer to ICF 3.2 Release Notes page 8).

GSS confirms that this issue is reproducible and that the workaround is valid.
