Preconfiguration Utility tool not working properly in Agilent LC - WKB958

SYMPTOMS

• Could not configure instrument using the Preconfiguration utility

ENVIRONMENT

• Empower Enterprise
• Agilent Instrument Control Framework (ICF) Support Version 2.2

CAUSE

User must type the Host (NIC Card) IP address first.

FIX or WORKAROUND

1. Navigate to Empower > Configuration Manger > Tools > Agilent PreConfiguration.
2. Either type the Host name or the IP address of the LAC/E NIC on the network (not the IP address of the instrument).
3. Select New.
4. Select Configure.
5. Specify the IP address of the instrument.
6. Configure as normal (as in previous version A.02.03).

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

The Agilent.InstrumentControl.InstrumentPreConfigurator.exe changed in Agilent Instrument Control Framework (ICF) Support Version 2.2. It now can be accessed through Empower.
