Agilent LC or GC is not recognized in Empower node properties after ICF upgrade - WKB94990

SYMPTOMS

• After upgrading ICF from 3.0 to any version or 3.1 to any version or 3.2 to any version, Agilent LC or GC shows "NO" as instrument status in node properties
• After upgrade, either "server busy" or "instrument failure" may occur while starting a sample set

ENVIRONMENT

• Empower 3
• Agilent Instrument Control Framework
• Agilent LC
• Agilent GC

CAUSE

 The software deletes the configuration details during upgrade

FIX or WORKAROUND

1. Go to Empower Node Properties and remove the instrument from "Config DHCP".
2. Add the instrument again with MAC address and unique instrument name.
3. Scan the instruments and ensure that Agilent LC or GC shows "YES" as instrument status.
