SYMPTOMS

• Error "Empower registration file not valid"
• License Activation file is 3KB, not 2KB as expected

ENVIRONMENT

• Empower 

CAUSE

The user emailed the file, which caused a change.

Waters email adds "https://urldefense.proofpoint.com" information, making the file larger than expected.

FIX or WORKAROUND

• If no internet connection, transfer the registration file via USB. DO NOT email. 
• File Share can be used to transfer the file without alteration.
