Sample Sets Load Slowly in Run Samples when the Method Set contains no Intrument Methods. - WKB91579

SYMPTOMS

• Sample sets slow to load in run samples
• 2 - 4 minutes Workstation
• +5 minutes in Enterprise or Citrix

CAUSE

The method set specified does not contain any methods. Specifically at a minimum the method set MUST contain an instrument method.

FIX or WORKAROUND

1. Open the project view
2. Open the sample set method
3. Add a valid method set which contains a valid instrument method
4. Save the sample set method
5. Open run samples
6. Load the sample set method

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

This is normal behavior because each line is checked and verified for a valid method for the connected instrument configuration. The more lines in the sample set the longer it will take to load. It will be even slower in Citrix.
