Empower sample set appears to be running out of order - WKB89636

SYMPTOMS

• Empower sample set appears to be running out of order.
• The sample set was rerun by selecting specific lines, and then choosing to run and inject only selected lines.
• The sample set was running in reverse order from bottom to top.
• No change in instrument methods or method sets.

ENVIRONMENT

• Empower 3 FR4 SR3 
• ACQUITY UPLC

CAUSE

The lines were selected in reverse order. The sample set was run by choosing to run and inject only selected lines, which will run the sample set lines in the order in which they are selected.  

FIX or WORKAROUND

This is operating as designed. If you select the lines from bottom to top, and then choose to run and inject only selected lines, they will run in the order selected. See below for additional information regarding Technote TECN1851521: Run Samples (Quickset) runs selected lines in order.

"If you load a sample set and run only selected lines, the system will run those lines in the order selected. Therefore, if you selected from the bottom up and the last line is a shutdown method, the system will shut down first."
