SYMPTOMS
- An Agilent 7697 "inconsistent extraction" error message appears in Empower
- "HS7697A: Inconsistent extractions. No. of injections in sample set method should match the no. of extractions in instrument method."
ENVIRONMENT
- Empower
- Agilent 7697 Headspace
CAUSE
A GC 7890 or 6890 configuration issue.
Auxiliary Temp is not set properly.
FIX or WORKAROUND
Correct the Auxiliary parameter for Agilent GC 6890 or 7890 (even if the error message does not seem to be related).
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
The same error message may appear if the GC Cycle is incorrect.
