Beckman PA800 sample set fails with a pressure warning after 12 sample set rows in Empower - WKB86833

SYMPTOMS

• Instrument failure
• Pressure failure
• Failure after 12 sample set lines run (including conditioning lines)

ENVIRONMENT

• Empower
• De Vinci Beckman CE Control for Empower v1.2.1 driver

CAUSE

The cause of this defect is unknown.

It is related to the increment function and multi-line sample sets.

FIX or WORKAROUND

• Confirm that the driver was installed using Typical settings and not Custom settings. This may rectify the issue.
• Limit the total number of lines in the sample set to 12 or fewer, including conditioning lines.
• Ensure that each line is a single injection or action.
• Alternatively, inject one sample per sample set.
