Are the area values of the peaks processed by the Empower 3 Gaussian Skim event based on the integration result of the Zeroed Baseline Chromatograms? - WKB86407

Article number: 86407

ENVIRONMENT

  • Empower 3
  • Specify "Apex Track" for the Integration Algorithm on the "Integration" tab of the Processing Method
  • Specify "Gaussian skim" event in event table on the "Integration" tab of the Processing Method

ANSWER

Yes.
Peaks with "G" showed in the "Int Type" column in the peak table are peaks processed by Gaussian Skim event.
(If “GG” is showed, the first G indicates the integration at the Peak Start, and the subsequent G indicates the integration at the Peak End.)
The integration displayed on the non-zeroed baseline chromatogram (the lower chromatogram in the figure below)
is different from the zeroed baseline chromatogram (the upper chromatogram below, the one in pink frame).
The Area value of each peak is calculated in the integration result of the zeroed baseline chromatogram.
