Alliance 2695 gets stuck at "Preparing to Inject" in Run Samples in Empower 3 - WKB8615

SYMPTOMS

• When selecting Run Samples, the system freezes at preparing to inject and the run never begins
• Flow rate is established
• Communication is established
• Empower sample set sits idle at "preparing for injection"
• Injection doesn't occur
• No data is collected
• Sample set remains at first injection

ENVIRONMENT

• Empower 3
• Alliance 2695
• 2489 TUV Detector
• 2998 PDA Detector
• ACQUITY H-Class
• ACQUITY I-Class
• ACQUITY APC

CAUSE

The instrument method doesn't match the system configuration or is switched off in the Instrument Method.

FIX or WORKAROUND

1. Compare the components in the instrument method to the system configuration.
2. Add or remove system components in the instrument method to match the online system configuration.
3. Alternatively, create a separate system configuration to match the desired instrument method.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

Note: When attempting to monitor baseline, the Run Samples window shows Setting Up - Monitor Baseline but never reaches the Monitoring status and no real time plots are displayed.
