SYMPTOMS
- GPC Calibration curve does not have the correct amount of calibration points expected
- Processing method worked previously
- Inhibit integration event is present in the processing method
- Flow rate was recently adjusted so the peaks have shifted slightly, including a negative water peak after the peaks of interest
ENVIRONMENT
- Empower 3
- GPC
CAUSE
The chromatogram had a large negative peak after the final peak. The inhibit integration function did not begin until after the negative peak, resulting in the integration to be incorrect affecting the amount of peaks integrated, therefore reducing the amount of points
FIX or WORKAROUND
- Adjust inhibit integration parameter to begin before the negative peak.
- Save processing method.
- Reprocess the data.
