Empower licenses are not linked to computer, server, or VM hardware. Thus, hardware components can be replaced as necessary and, provided the Empower installation is not changed or affected, the licensed state will not be affected.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
For example, a VM Empower server can be migrated between VM platforms without having to deactivate the Empower licenses and then re-license the migrated VM, provided that the migration process does not change the virtual machine when it is booted up.
