Empower 3 error message: A failure occured in triggering the instrument - WKB84694

SYMPTOMS

• When interrupted during sample set execution, the following error message shows in the Message Center:
  • "A failure occurred in triggering the instrument. Instrument failure 2695"
• No error observed in the error log of the 2695 body

ENVIRONMENT

• Empower 3 Base Package
• 2489 UV/Vis Detector
• 2695 Separations Module
• Two systems of e2695/2489 connected to one PC

CAUSE

Unknown

FIX or WORKAROUND

1. Turn off and then turn on the instrument and PC power.
2. Disconnect and connect the LAN cable and the power cable of the hub.
3. Create a new sample set method.
