How to calculate JP s/n with Empower 2 (with System Suitability option) - WKB84379
Article number: 84379
OBJECTIVE or GOAL
Calculate JP s/n with Empower 2 (with System Suitability option)
ENVIRONMENT
- Empower 2
- System Suitability option installed
- Noise Value is specified with the sample where the peak you want to calculate S/N is detected, not with a blank sample
PROCEDURE
- On "Suitability" tab of Processing Method, check the "Calculate Suitability Results", enter the "Void Volume Time", and select “All” for Pharmacopeia
- Check the "Calculate EP S/N" on "Suitability" tab of Processing Method.
- Check the "Calculate Detector Noise and Drift" on "Noise and Drift" tab of Processing Method, enter Start Time and End Time to specify the range to calculate Noise.
Specify the range where no peak appears on the chromatogram.
Since a range for 20x Half Height of the peak cannot be set automatically, set a range that is about 20 times of the Half Height.
When processed with the processing method for which the suitability setting is performed, the Half Height is calculated with the Item Name “Width @ 50%”. - Save the Processing Method
- Run with the Processing Method saved in step 4.
- Since EP S/N is calculated, change the field title to JP s/n
■ When changing on the Review screen
Right-click on the title of the EP S/N column and select "Column Properties", change the "Field Name" on the Column Properties window.
■ When changing the Peak Table in Report
On the “Table” tab in Table Properties, click and black highlight the title of the EP S/N column, select “Column Properties”.
Change the "Field Name" on the Column Properties window.
