SYMPTOMS

• Agilent systems disconnect randomly during acquisition
• Process terminates due to an unhandled exception error (exception info: System.OutOfMemoryException) message in Windows event application logs, followed by faulting module name: KERNELBASE.dll (faulting module path: C:\Windows\System32\KERNELBASE.dll)
• "Analysis aborted by another module" error message in the message center
• Antivirus is disabled

ENVIRONMENT

• Agilent Instrument Control Framework 3.0 and above
• Config 16 LAC/E
• Empower 3 Enterprise

CAUSE

Insufficient virtual memory

FIX or WORKAROUND

Increase the virtual memory as 4X the installed RAM.
