OBJECTIVE or GOAL

Document the "pass" status of the ACQUITY QDa resolution and calibration checks in an Empower report.

ENVIRONMENT

• Empower 3 FR 4
• ACQUITY QDa Mass Detector

PROCEDURE

1. Open an existing report or a blank report in Empower.
2. Select Post Run Reports.
3. Select Brief Report and drag it to the existing or blank report.
4. Save the report.
5. Select a result in Browse Project and click Preview/Publisher.
6. Use the previously saved report method.
7. The "pass" status of the resolution and calibration checks is visible, as well as the dates of the checks.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

The ACQUITY QDa resolution and calibration checks that fail will prevent the detector from reaching a "Ready" state. If the detector is not in a "Ready" state, you cannot acquire data in Empower. This article provides only a means to document this safeguard.
