Empower error: Cannot save a result produced by processing a partially collected chromatogram - WKB82781

SYMPTOMS

• Processing channel and then saving it
• Error "Cannot save a result produced by processing a partially collected chromatogram"
• Sample set runs to completion
• Message Center indicates channel is still acquiring, yet status shows Acquisition Finished

ENVIRONMENT

• Empower 3

CAUSE

The Windows "allow control" permissions on the Empower folder are not selected for all permissions.

FIX or WORKAROUND

1. First check the tablespace quota for the project (see WKB3096).
2. Adjust Windows permissions on the Empower folder (allow full control/modify/read and execute, write). To troubleshoot, first try Everyone Full Control and confirm that system has full control on the raw data share folder.
3. Allow the Everyone account to have full control for the Launch and Activation Permission settings for the remote DCOM on the Empower server.
