No amount values appear for the later eluting peaks in samples, but standards have amounts in Empower - WKB82437

SYMPTOMS

• Later eluting peaks have no amounts in Empower
• Standard peaks are identified and have amounts
• Retention time shifts slightly for the end of the run

ENVIRONMENT

• Empower 3
• Breeze 2

CAUSE

Retention time of the peaks shifts outside of the retention time window.

This could be due to not equilibrating the system prior to running the sample set.

FIX or WORKAROUND

Make sure your system is equilibrated prior to running.

OR

Adjust the retention time parameters in the processing method to be able to identify the peaks of the samples (along with the standards).

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

If peaks are closely eluting and one peak consistently has a higher area count compared with the other, one parameter that can be adjusted instead of the RT window is peak match. You can select greatest area for that peak. This will identify the peak with the greatest peak area compared with the prior peak.
