SYMPTOMS

• Connection to chromatographic system lost during run
• No error in log 
• "Power down" and "power up" listed in log
• Systems on the same circuit contained "power up" and "power down" messages in the system log at the same time
• Other systems not plugged into the same circuit contained "power up" and "power down" messages in the system log at the same time
• Injections stopped and system went into idle, continuing flow

• Alliance HPLC System
• 2695 Separations Module
• Empower 3

CAUSE

Loss of power to lab

FIX or WORKAROUND

No fix is necessary. Monitor the lab for any further power losses.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

With a loss of power, circuit boards on the instruments may be damaged. Monitor closely to ensure that instruments do not exhibit board failures.
