Empower error with Agilent 1200: System not ready - WKB8123

SYMPTOMS

• Quaternary pump G1311A displays "System not ready" status
• The ICF Diagnostic log (c:\programdata\agilent technologies\instrument control framework) shows the following:
  • Fatal: G1315B: DE60555714- Starting analysis aborted via CAN
    Fatal: G1329A: DE60556342- Starting analysis aborted via CAN
    Fatal: G1316A: DE60555486- Starting analysis aborted via CAN
  • Instrument status for Sampler, Column Compartment, and DAD is ready, but Quaternary Pump shows not ready
• Run Samples displays "Waiting for Injection"

ENVIRONMENT

• Agilent modules:
  1) Quat. Pump: G1311A

  2) Sampler: G1329A
     Firmware: A.06.10[006]
  3) Column Comp: G1316A
     Firmware: A.06.10[004]

CAUSE

Communication issue 

FIX or WORKAROUND

1. Try a new method. 
2. If that doesn't work, replace the CAN cable on the instrument.
