SYMPTOMS

• "Plate type 0 is invalid" error when starting an Empower sample set with a 2707
• Plate is configured correctly in Empower
• Vial numbers are set to 1, 2, 3 in Run Samples

ENVIRONMENT

• Empower 3
• 2707 Sample Manager

CAUSE

In Run Samples, the vial positions are incorrect. Instead of 1, 2, 3, the vial positions should be 1;A,1, 1;A,2, 1;A,3.

FIX or WORKAROUND

1. Ensure that the plate is configured correctly in Empower.
2. Correct the vial positions, or create a sample set method from scratch with the correctly defined plate.
