SYMPTOMS
- Four HPLC systems all experiencing communication issues in Empower.
- All instruments on one LAC/E32.
- Resetting the LAC/E32 does not resolve the issue.
ENVIRONMENT
- Empower
- Ethernet instruments
CAUSE
There was an issue with the Ethernet switch box connecting the instruments to the LAC/E32.
FIX or WORKAROUND
- Confirm that the switch is turned on and plugged in. Power cycle switch to see if communication is restored.
- Replace the 8-port Ethernet Switch Box. Part Number: 725000561
